Donald Ray Heller

Donald Ray Heller, 70, of Salado passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

A memorial service for Don will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Rev. Steve Vaughn officiating. Military honors will be rendered at the service by the US Air Force.

Don was born on January 4, 1949 in Belton to Alton and Mable (Witcher) Heller. He grew up in Round Rock and graduated from Round Rock High School. Mr. Heller served in the US Air Force and US Air Force Reserves.  Don worked for 28 years as a technician for Thyssen-Kruppe elevator company (formerly Dover Elevator Co.) before retiring in 2003. He married Barbara Brown on May 21, 1970 at Palm Valley Lutheran Church in Round Rock.

Don is survived by his wife Barbara of Salado, daughter Shawn Heller of Salado, brother Jimmy Heller of Jonestown, Texas, sisters Ruby Wooley of Belton and Patsy Bunte of Holland, and grandchildren Casey Heller, Ashlee Heller, and Chad Heller.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
