Donald Bunte

Donald Woodrow Bunte, 84, of Holland, died February 17, 2021 at his home.

Donald was born in Temple, on December 23, 1936 to Rudolph and Annie (Pace) Bunte. He married Joan Constance (Hinkle) Bunte on August 7, 1971, she preceded him in death in 2014. Donald was a retired butcher and he retired from Bell County as a Gravel Hauler. He also volunteered with Holland VFD for 63 years, he mowed for anyone who needed it, as well as making food at the Holland SPJST where he loved to spend his time playing bingo with all his buddies, most of which he called Sambo. He was a well known and well loved member of the Holland community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Kenneth Monroe Bunte and R.F Bunte Jr and a sister Patricia Anne Bunte and a grandson.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Roush; two sisters, Bethel Jean Upchurch and LaVonne Nell Tweedle; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is being cremated and laid next to his wife as per his wishes and a memorial service will be planned and announced at a later time
