Funeral Services for Delphene Hataway Weston, 89, of Belton TX, will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating. Private family burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Mrs. Weston died Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at her home in Belton.
Mrs. Weston was born November 30, 1934, in Snyder TX, the daughter of Irven N. (Shorty) Hataway and Agnes Othel (Morris) Hataway. She attended Texas Tech before she married Charles Jack Weston, June 14, 1952 in Fluvanna, TX.
Mrs. Weston was passionate about her grandsons, grand daughter-in-law, and great grandkids. She loved laughing, singing, going to the kids' games, traveling with Deb, and most of all, cooking for her family. She loved reading, crossword puzzles and playing Skip-Bo, Canasta and Bridge. She and Jack were faithful members of Taylor's Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack on March 10, 2014, and a brother, Albert Hataway of Snyder, TX, on September 10, 2024.
Survivors include daughter Debra Minzak and husband Tom of Belton, TX; son Chuck Weston of Temple, TX; brother Delbert Hataway of Snyder, TX; sister-in-law Ellen Hataway of Snyder TX; her two grandsons TK Minzak and Scott Minzak and his wife Janie Minzak of Belton, TX; three great-grandchildren, Bekah Minzak, Weston Minzak and Ethan Minzak.
She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, her precious friends, Nina Aycock and Bobbie Smith; plus many more dear lifelong friends.
