David V. Kinsey of Morgan’s Point Resort passed away at Creekside Terrace Nursing Home, Belton, Texas on March 9th, 2025. He was 72 years of age.

Funeral Service will be at 2pm on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, at Dossman Funeral, Belton Texas.

The burial will be at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.

David was born on December 14th, 1952, in Houston, Texas to Vernon Elisha and Lela Faye Underwood Kinsey.

After graduating high school David went to trade to become a welder. In May of 1972 he joined the Navy and served two years on the Navy mine sweeper, USS Dash. On July 20th, 2017, David Married Clair Gail Kinsey at the Bell County Courthouse.

David knew life was a serious thing, yet he worked to find humor in the most serious things.

David is survived by his wife Gail Oglesby of Morgan’s Point Resort, brothers; Jimmy Kinsey of Marble Falls, TX, Wayne Kinsey of Smithville, TX, Garry Kinsey of Smithville, TX, Brian Kinsey of Smithville, TX, Ronnie Kinsey of Tow, TX, Kenneth Kinsey of Angleton, TX, sisters; Rebecca Kinsey of Smithville, TX, Sandy Matlock of Thicket, TX, Tina Samples-Kinsey of Granbury, TX, Pamela Wong-Kinsey of Conroe, TX, Debbie May of Greenville, TN, and April Robbins Finney of Alvin, TX.

David is preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael Kinsey.
