David Lee King

David Lee King, son of Herbert Louis King and Era Mae King, was born on December 11, 1949 in Waco, Texas.

He graduated from Midway High School and attended McLennan Community College.  He was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and a Radioman in the United States Navy.  He retired from AT&T after 35 years of service in the Belton and Temple area.

Additionally, he was a lifetime member of Communications Workers of America and Telephone Pioneers of America.  David also coached little league baseball in Belton and was a former Vice President of the Belton Band Boosters.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Brenda King and his sister Virginia Speasmaker.

He is survived by his niece, Heidi Rae of Overland Park, Kansas and his two children, Desiree Caufield of Austin and Joshua King of Temple.
