David Glen Elkins

David Glen Elkins, 62, of Belton passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at a Belton nursing home.

Funeral services for Mr. Elkins are going to be held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Pastor Darin Pound officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

David was born in Kingsville, Texas on January 8, 1958 to G.W. and Georgette (Vanier) Elkins. He grew up in Rogers and graduated from Rogers High School. Mr. Elkins worked for many years as a truck driver for Central Freight Lines, retiring in 2018. He attended First Church of the Nazarene in Temple.

Mr. Elkins was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Frances Elkins, and brother Donnie Elkins. Survivors include a daughter Samantha DeVore of California, brother Louis Elkins of Morgans Point, and three grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5-7 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
