Darwin Ray Wooley, Sr., 81, of Bartlett passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

Graveside services for Darwin will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Val Verde Cemetery near Holland with Frank Wooley and Tony Rodriguez officiating.

Darwin was born on October 7, 1937 in Texas City, Texas to Raymond and Ophelia (Brock) Wooley. He moved to the Rogers area at 3 years old and attended Holland Schools, and later attended vocational schools for diesel mechanics. Darwin began a long career as a crane operator for several local companies and retired in 2003 after 25 years as an operator for Cloud Construction Company in Temple. He married Nancy Minzenmayer on March 9, 1959 in Belton and they were married for 60 years before he passed away. He was a Christian.

Darwin is survived by his wife Nancy of Bartlett, sons Darwin Ray Wooley, Jr. of Holland, Frankie Lee Wooley of Holland, and Buck Wade Wooley of Holland, daughters Sheihla Camden of Davilla, Marquita Hopson of Rockdale, and Darlene Rodriguez of Temple, and a sister Nelda Bankston of Georgetown, 22 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
