Corina Adame

November 19, 1929 — July 26, 2020

Corina Saldana Adame was born to Dolores L and Fidel Saldana in Mercedes, TX on November 19, 1929. She married Noe Adame in Mercedes on July 1, 1951, then moving with their three children to Killeen, TX.  She answered to the names of Mom, Momo, Connie and Auntie Cori and has cherished family across the state of Texas who adore her. Corina had a zest for life, love for Jesus ready to share, a smile and a hug for anyone who needed it. She loved to dance and until her very last days was singing praise to Jesus. She would tell anyone she met that she depended on Jesus as her Savior and that He would never leave her or forsake her. She stood on His promises to her very last breath, when God graciously made a way for her children to say “until we meet again”.  Sadly, her final years were marked by a disease that robbed Corina of her cherished family memories and the ability to truly enjoy making new ones with those that love her. Upon her death on July 26, 2020, she was made whole and reunited with her Savior and family.

Corina was preceded in death and met at the gates of Heaven by her husband of 60 years, Noe; her son James (Cindy) and unborn children; and grandchildren, Ethan and Emily. She is survived by daughter, Mary Nell Newby (Tom); son, Michael Adame (Kristy); grandchildren David Newby (Darla), Scott Newby, Paul Newby (Mandi) and Erin Adame; and great-grandchildren Lauren and Rachel Newby, Angelina, Aiden and Alyse Newby, Chance Newby (Mikayla), Dillon and Trenton Newby; sister, Estella Garza and brother, Ernest Saldana; nieces and nephews, Gilda Garcia, Rene Garza, Maggie Garza and Sally Calise, EJ and Roy Saldana and Liza Karam.
