Funeral services for Concepcion “Connie” A. Gonzales, 89, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel.  Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the Rosary at 7:00 PM, Friday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gonzales died Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in a Temple hospital among her loving family.

Mrs. Gonzales was born November 25, 1932, in Pawnee, the daughter of Candelario and Santos Alejandro.

She married Lauro S. Gonzales, August 31, 1958, in Temple.  They had three sons and one daughter.  She was a homemaker until her youngest son started to school.  At that time, she went to cosmetology school and became a successful beautician.  She retired in 2002.

Mrs. Gonzales enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys.  However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Mrs. Gonzales was preceded in death by her husband Lauro S. Gonzales; her parents, Candelario and Santos Alejandro, brothers Alejandro Alejandro, Sebastian Alejandro and Manuel Alejandro, sister Petra Minor and one great granddaughter, Jasmine Smith.

She is survived by one daughter Blanca Gonzales-Morin and husband Steve of Belton; three sons, Roberto Gonzales and wife Gloria of Temple, Rene Gonzales and wife Dayla of Belton and Rolando Gonzales and wife Cynthia of Salado; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Romo.
