Clyde Nolan Smith, 69, of Belton passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
A celebration of Clyde's life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 12 noon at the familie's home at 2813 Pecan Drive in Belton, Texas.
Clyde was born in Belton on September 23, 1949 to Walter Nolan and Viola (Burkett) Smith. He grew up in Belton and attended schools here in Belton. Clyde married Kathy Emrick on June 24, 2004 in Bell County. He worked for many years as a painter with Petty Painting Company.
Clyde was preceded in death by brother Larry Smith and sister Geraldine Smith. He is survived by his wife Kathy of Belton, sons Richard Smith of Virginia, Clyde (JR) Smith, Jr. of Belton, and James Klinko of Harker Heights, step sons Guy Gray of Indiana, and Steve Gray of Ohio, and step daughter Stacey Gray of Temple. Also surviving are brothers Dale Smith of Gatesville, Perry Smith of Gatesville, and Tom Smith of Belton, sisters Ellen Estill of Gatesville, Sheila Trotter of Gatesville, and Christine Kutzke of Kempner, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
