Clifford Lee Honeycutt passed away in the VA Hospital in Temple Texas on Sunday July 16th, 2023.
Funeral service will be held at the Abundant Life Church, Temple Texas, at 10:30am, Monday July 31st, 2023. With burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Temple Texas. After services at the cemetery there will be a Celebration of Life luncheon at the Abundant Life Church.
Clifford was born on July 19th, 1950, in Miami, Ok to John Clifford and Barbara Lovonne Woods Honeycutt.
In 1989 Clifford married Patsy Nell Petty in Belton, Texas.
Clifford was a hard, working, loving, caring person. He and Patsy were married for 34 years. He loved playing video games with all the grandchildren. He was an ace when it came to Pokémon, and he taught all his grandchildren and the child they raised all about Pokémon games. They spent many hours together, sharing and laughing at video games. the grandkids knew when they got off the bus, they didn’t have to worry about Papa not being there because he was always on time and would never go anywhere until them kids got home and then it was peanut butter and jelly time and ice cream, and they will miss him and the memories they had with him. They took in Isaiah’s Gonzalez when he was three months old and raised him, He is now 24 years old Clifford and his wife loved him unconditionally, and that was their other son. Isaiah’s (Taco) “nick name”, he and his pops were inseparable the bond that they had will be very missed. They had secrets that he said he would take to his grave, and he did. He loved all of his grandchildren. He and his wife raised many children, so parents were able to work. He retired from the city of Temple, previous to that he had joined the military in the 60’s. Cliffy, dad, pops, Heaven just received another angel.
Clifford is survived by his wife Patsy of Temple Texas, his sons Randy Honeycutt of Mojave CA, & Isaiah's Gonzalez of Temple TX and daughter Brenda Lohman of Temple TX, and his brother Greg Honeycutt of Temple TX, and Grandchildren, Matthew, and Dakota Honeycutt of Mojave CA and 11 Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Clifford Lee Honeycutt Jr. and Grandson Austin Honeycutt.
