Funeral services for Claude Hess, 89, of Little River, will be held at 10 AM Friday, April 7, at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel with Glenn Hodge officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Valley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home.
Mr. Hess died Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Temple.
Mr. Hess was born August 8, 1933, in Belton, the son of Claude and Lemmie Hess and later adopted by Fred and Juanita Hess. He married Norma Obanon, the mother of his four sons. He married Gloria Lisenbe Pustka in 1988, who brought with her two daughters.
He was a Sergeant with Belton Police Department and a Deputy with Robertson County. He also served as the Chief of Police for Moody. Later he worked and retired from Cloud Construction.
He was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, six sisters, and his wife Gloria Hess, in 2020.
Survivors include four sons Terry Hess and wife Kathy, Todd Hess and wife Shannon, Troy Hess and wife Joy, and Trey Hess Zeinert, two daughters Gloria Hodge and husband Glenn and Sharlot Bland and husband Perry; two brothers Robert Walker and Jesse Walker; two sisters Cewella Wolff and Faye Copeland;
18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
