Charles Scott Vaca, 55, of Temple, TX passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in a Temple hospital while surrounded by loving family members.
Scott was born January 7, 1968 in Beeville, Texas to parents Carlos and Victoria Vaca. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in business and was a proud Life Member of the Texas Exes alumni association. Scott was a hardworking game warden whose stations throughout his career included Trinity, Travis, and Williamson counties. He retired in 2014 after working for the state for 23 years. He was known for, among many other things, his passion for hunting and fishing, his immaculate organization, his propensity for collecting nice watches, and his love of family, good food, live music, travel, and his dogs.
Scott's survivors include his daughter Bethany Luttrell and husband Dean; father Carlos Vaca and wife Carol; mother Victoria Petterson and husband Gene; sister Vivian Cantu and husband Rene; step-sister Melanie Jamison and husband Phil; grandfather Juaquin Vaca; and his three grandchildren, Micah, Abigail, and Caleb Luttrell. He was dearly loved and is dearly missed.
