Temple

In loving memory of Charlene Elaine Cain Farmer Harrison.

Charlene left this world behind to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2025, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 78. She was born on March 28, 1946, in Canton, Mississippi. Her life was marked by her deep love for family and generous spirit.

Charlene was lovingly devoted to her first husband, Walter Farmer, Sr., for 34 years; and, then, to her second husband, Earl "Doc" Harrison, for 9 years.

She cherished her family dearly, dedicating her life to nurturing and fostering strong bonds with her loved ones.

Charlene was an integral part of the success of Jones Bros. Dirt & Paving Contractors for 37 years, tirelessly managing the office and serving as the only female superintendent in the company's history. She was incredibly talented and fiercely loyal to Jones Bros., its workers, managers and owners.

Charlene is survived by her son, Walter Farmer, Jr., and wife, Karen; and daughter, Rhonda Williams. She was richly blessed to have six grandchildren who tenderly called her grandma: Keagan Williams, Quincy Westbrook and her husband, Ethan; and Michael Graves and his wife, Angel, and Tommy Graves, along with seven great-grandchildren: Charlie, Mack and Ruby Westbrook; and Brooklyn, Ashlea, Haylea and Kryslyn Graves. She was also survived by her sister, Mary Smith; and step-brother, W. A. Jackson.

Charlene was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter; her precious mother, Annie Franklin Jackson; father, Charlie Cain; brother, Edward Hutton; sister, Charlotte; and second husband, Doc.

She was known for her unmatched love, kindness, devotion and generosity, and these qualities will forever be engraved upon our hearts. She left this world a better place, and her impact on our lives will be felt for generations to come.

Many will remember Charlene for her friendly spirit, compassion for others, her laughter and warm smile. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
