On Christmas morning 2022 at the age of sixty-seven and after a five-year battle with melanoma, Caterina Marie Ramsey reunited with her husband and soulmate Daniel Ross Ramsey in heaven.
Caterina was born the 14 th of September 1955 in Washington DC. She grew up in Newport News Virginia where she met her first husband and high school sweetheart Thomas Smith. Together they moved to Temple Texas in 1975. Tom was killed in action during a training exercise at Fort Hood in 1978. They had one daughter, Laurie, in 1979.
She met Dan Ramsey in 1983 and they were married the following year. She gained a stepson, James Paul. Her and Dan had two daughters Danielle in 1993 and Caterina Michelle in 1997. Dan died of multiple myeloma in 2004.
Caterina held an associate degree in business which she received from Temple College. She worked as Accounts Payable at Central Texas Christian School for nearly two decades. She was an incredibly loving and resilient woman who enjoyed sewing, reading, and most of all spending time with her family.
Caterina is dearly missed by her daughters Caterina Michelle, Danielle, and Laurie; her stepson James Paul; her son-in-law James Demo and daughter-in-law Bethany Ramsey; her grandchildren Carlie, Lena, Vann, and Remi Kate; her seven cats and three dogs; and numerous other friends and family.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday January 5, 2023, at North Belton Cemetery’s Pavilion.
