Carol Ann Hood

Carol Ann Hood, 84, of Belton, formerly of Hobbs, New Mexico, died Sunday, April 14, 2024, at her home.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with interment in Stanton, Texas.

Mrs. Hood was born, May 23, 1939, in Paducah, Texas, the daughter of Aubrey Ray Russell and Pauline Ruth Slover Russell.  She married Dr. Steve E. Hood, Jr., May 27, 1963, in Seminole, Texas.   She was a Registered Nurse.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hobbs, New Mexico for many years.  She was a member of Methodist Women with the church.  Also, she and her husband volunteered with KARIOS, a prison ministry.

Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Steve E. Hood, Jr.

Survivors include three sons, Russell William Hood and his wife Terry, Steve E. Hood, III and his wife Vicki and Christopher Keith Hood; brother-in-law, Richard Lewis; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
