Carla Diane Kilburn

July 1, 1950 - November 20, 2019

Carla Diane Kilburn, 69, of Nolanville, TX, formally Marshall, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in Temple, TX.  She was the daughter of Robert and Anita Gallion and was born in Chicago, IL on July 1, 1950.

Carla attended Butler University and became a registered nurse.  Later, after retiring from nursing, she was a case manager for the State of Indiana.  She was a member of Marshall Federated Church, sang in the choir and played the piano when needed.

In her spare time, she loved to write funny, short stories.  These stories made so many friends laugh.  Many of her dialysis friends and nurses defined her as a hoot to be around.  Also, in her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry and playing computer games.

Survivors include her son William (Tifany) Kilburn of Lafayette, IN and daughter Jennifer (Matthew) Shidler of Nolanville, TX. She was also blessed with a grandson, Curtis Robert Kilburn, born in August.  Also, surviving are siblings Chris (Mona) Gallion of Lake Jackson, TX, Claudia (Frank) Nolan of Orlando, FL and Curt (Leanne) Gallion of Fishers, IN and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anita Gallion.

Cremation has been decided.  A memorial service will be held at Marshall Federated Church, Marshall, IN on Saturday, December 21, 2019.  Visitation will be from 10 am-11 am with a memorial service at 11 am.  Private graveside service will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Marshall, IN.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Buddy Bag Program of Marshall Federated Church, 105 N. Main St, Marshall, IN 47859.
