Calvin Beard

Calvin Joseph Beard, 64, of Temple passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at a Temple care center.

Funeral services for Calvin will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Kenneth Beard and Carl Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery in Belton.

Calvin was born on February 17, 1957 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Steve and Louise (Boudreaux) Beard. He loved to play the guitar, sing Hank Williams, and impersonate Elvis Presley. He also loved to hear and quote scripture from the King James Version of the Bible. His favorite verse was John 3:16. He will no longer have the scars he received here on earth for in Heaven the old will be made new. A new body and a new song he has received. He left us to be in a far better place on October 18, 2021. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Love you Brother!

Mr. Beard was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, James Lee Beard and Lindsey Beard. He is survived by 4 brothers; Kenneth  Beard, Daniel Beard, Adam Beard, and Harold Beard; and 2 sisters Elizabeth Gauthier and Wanda Beard, as well as many, many cousins who were just like brothers and sisters.

A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
