Bobby Hugh Fulford

Bobby Hugh Fulford of Salado, Texas passed away on July 26th, 2024, in Temple Texas.

Memorial service will be at 2pm on August 3rd, 2024, at the 3C Cowboy Church, in Salado, Texas.

The burial of his cremains with military honors will follow at the Salado Cemetery, Salado, Texas.

Bobby was born on October17th, 1944 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Rev. Hugh & Margaret Helms Fulford.

After graduating high school, Bobby joined the United States Marine Corps on August 27th, 1965.

On August 4th, 1969, Bobby married Patrica Mae Green in Fort Worth, Texas.  Bobby and his wife Patti had two children Chris & Lisa.  They lived in Salado Texas and were married 35 ½ years until her passing.

Bobby owned and operated Fulford’s Garage on FM 2268 in Salado, Texas, where he also ran a wrecker service.  He coached little league and was always quick to sponsor various sports teams, as well as a contributor to area booster clubs.  He was once an honorary member of the Salado Volunteer Fire Department.

Bobby enjoyed RVing, riding his motorcycle and was always up for an adventure.  He loved working in his garden and had a fairly green thumb.

Bobby remarried in 2015 to Marjorie Sue Smale. Bobby and Sue lived in Killeen, Texas, until his passing.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Patti, his brother Aaron Fulford as well as Sue’s daughter Rene and grandson Christopher.

Bobby is survived by his wife Sue, two children and their spouses. Three grandchildren and their spouses, three great-grandchildren.  Sisters, Peggy, Alice, Linda and Diane.  Sue’s, sons; Stephen and, Jerry and daughter Amanda, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Also not to be forgotten, his beloved dogs, Scooter and Tinker.
