Bobby Joe Ellis, 86, of Belton passed away on Saturday March 13, 2021. A memorial service will be held on March 17, 2021 at Dossman funeral home in Belton, Texas at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Loudin officiating.

Bobby was born on January 17 ^th , 1935 to William and Lilly (Jacskson) Ellis. He was raised and attended school in Killeen and later graduated with a Bachelors  from Baylor University in Waco.

He married the love of his life, Jeannie (Whitson) Ellis on December 17, 1953.

He started work as a Baptist preacher at the age of 17 and opened his first clock shop in 1978.

He is reunited in heaven with his parents William and Lilly Ellis.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jeannie Ellis. His beloved son, Hugh “Dan” Ellis and wife Dori of Troy. His sister Donnie  Turner of Killeen, Grandson, Ray Ellis and wife Kristin and two great grandchildren Elise and Hunter of Temple.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him and treasured by the many lives he touched through his ministry.
