Billy Wayne Hilliard

Billy Wayne Hilliard was born in Belton, TX on June 8th, 1935, to Law & Edna (Hannon) Hilliard.

A graveside service will be held at 1PM, Friday, February 3rd at Resthaven Cemetery in Belton.

He married Anita Petty on October 17, 1953, in Belton, TX.

Bill worked as a foreman for TXDOT retiring after 38 years of service.  He was a Lifetime member of the Belton Masonic Lodge No. 166.

Bill was a volunteer for the Belton Fire Department, when all were volunteers, and worked to take on the position as Chief Fireman.  He was a also a member of the Belton Jaycees.  Bill was a local farmer and cattleman with his father, Law Hilliard for over 50 years.  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brother.

Survivors include three sons, Joe and wife Kathy, Gary and wife Patti, Mark and wife Melissa.  Six grandchildren, Justin Hilliard, Hannah Hilliard, Danielle Burgan, Richard Kneese, Suzanne Ward, Jennifer Wilson and ten great-grandchildren, Ciara, Payton, Shylah, Deegen, Cheyenne, Jacob, Joslyn, Jayden, Jaxsyn, Jaysen and three great-great-grandchildren, McKinley, James Lee, and Addylynn.
