Billie Inez (Wilhite) Wilson, 90, of Belton passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at a local care center.
A graveside service for Billie will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Rest Haven Cemetery in Belton with Tommy Bever officiating.
Billie was born on June 8, 1928 in Bell County, Texas to Joel "Preacher" and Edgie (Carpenter) Wilhite. She grew up in the Sparta Valley area and graduated from Belton High School, then she attended Cameron Commercial College. Billie worked for many years for the Texas Department of Transportation as a clerk. She married Burton Thompson on June 28, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1958. Billie was a longtime member of the Belton Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters, Kathleen Brown, Earnestine Humphrey, and Bert Bounds. Billie is survived by daughters Brenda Freedman of Temple, Tonie Sikes and her husband Freddy of Huntsville, Texas, Panzy Warrick of Belton, and Donna Fulton and her husband Paul of Temple, 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
