Betty Lynn Boales Roberts

Loving Wife, Mother, and Granny.

Betty Lynn Boales Roberts, age 75, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020, with family by her side.  As a child of God, she has gone to be with our Heavenly Father.

Funeral services will be held at  the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 23,2020, with Rev. Stephen Vaughn officiating.  A visitation will be held Wednesday , January 22 , from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Dossman Funeral Home

Born June 23, 1944, in Belton, Texas, to B.I. and Gracie V. Boales; she was their oldest daughter of three.  She graduated from Belton High School in 1962 and married Ronald Roberts on August 13, 1964.  Betty worked many occupations from Broach Oil to Tupperware.  She was an exquisite baker of cakes and cookies.  In her later years she was a member of the Sewing Circle and enjoyed crafting with her many cherished friends.  She was a loving supporter of Relay for Life and The Body of Christ Community Clinic, and she collected cans and can tops for various fundraising organizations.

Betty will be especially remembered as a faithful and active member of Elm Grove Baptist Church where she was honored as a ‘Woman of Faith’ for her discipleship through the years as a Sunday school teacher for children ministries.

Survivors include three daughters: Tamara Rodriguez, married to Louis Rodriguez, Roberta Kimble, married to Jerry Kimble, and Shirley Moore, married to Bob Moore; 8 Grandchildren: Louis Rodriguez and wife Tiffany Rodriguez, Megan White and husband Clint White, Amanda Roberts and Dana Murphy, Olivia Lopez and Victor Mendoza, A.J. Lopez, Bobby Moore, Sharde Taplin, and Milton Moore; 18 Great-Grandchildren; 1 sister: Debra Rice; 3 step brothers: David Rice, Doug Rice, and Donald Rice

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.I. and Gracie V. Boales, husband Ronald Roberts, step-father Ed Rice, brother Larry Boales, and step-brother Danny Rice.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in her name to Elm Grove Baptist Church P.O. Box 1267 Belton, Texas.
