1949 - 2023 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am , the 11 th of February 2023

Visitation held from 10 - 11:00am prior to service at Dossman Funeral Home

Betty Eileen Bridges Pratt went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2023. She was born to C.A. “Buster” Bridges and Della Lavinia Bridges on February 11, 1949 in Lubbock, TX. Betty graduated Belton High in 1967. After graduation she married Charles Pratt Jr on September 22, 1967. They made their home in Moody, TX where they raised her pride and joy, Shannon and Trey.

She then attended Beauty School where she went on to open Betty’s Beauty Shop in her home. She spent many years perfecting every hair on peoples heads and making them look good.  Many will remember her doing several “first” haircuts in Moody by sitting the kids on a 2x4 across the arms of the chair, in her shop. She loved her children above all else and this includes her “other” children who called her their second mom. She nurtured everyone who crossed her path and soothed their worries with the best home brewed tea in town. Not to mention always keeping food and goodies in stock for the whole neighborhood.

She was a member of the Moody Church of Christ for many years and then relocated to Waco and finally settled in Belton, TX.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, her Step Father Robert McDaniel, Lynn Wood and grandson Byron Hare.

Survivors include her daughter Shannon Pratt of Woodway, TX, her son Trey Pratt and wife Traci Pratt of Mart, TX and granddaughter Megan Sisco of Waco, TX. Along with many  of her close friends and family whom she adored.

In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate to The Alzheimer's Association in memory of her Mother and/or the Huntington’s Disease Society of America in memory of her grandson, Super B.
