Betty Jane Beasley

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday evening 6-7:30 PM, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Beasley died Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in a Temple Long Term Care Assistant Living Center.

Mrs. Beasley was born August 15, 1926 in Ft. Worth, the daughter of Richard Hart Smiley and Mary Van (Standford) Smiley.   She married Paul Beasley January 25, 1950 in Ft. Worth.   The couple lived in Ft. Worth and San Diego, California before making their home in Big Spring in 1962.   Mrs. Beasley worked for many years as the receptionist for Dr. Cauley and Dr. Smith Optometrist in Big Spring.  She was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church in Big Spring.   In 1996 Mrs. Beasley moved to Burnet and in 2004 she moved to Temple, where she was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Buster Smiley,  and husband Paul Beasley.

Survivors include one son Bob Beasley and wife Marlina of Belton, two grandchildren, Todd Beasley and wife Christina; and Vanessa Hargrove and husband Chris; two great grandchildren Lauryn and Landry Hargrove.
