Bennie "Benny" Bargas

July 26, 1949 — February 13, 2022

Funeral services for Bennie "Benny" Bargas, 72, of Temple, will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Mary Ortiz officiating.   Burial will follow at the North Belton Cemetery.

A prayer service/visitation will be held at 7 PM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the funeral home.
Mr. Bargas was born July 26, 1949 in Georgetown, the son of Andrew and Josephine Ortiz Bargas.  He worked as a painter.   He was a member of AA for more than 25 years.   He attended The Point Church in Temple.
Mr. Bargas never met a stranger.  He was a loving friend to everyone he met, calling everyone, 'my friend" .
Mr. Bargas was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Andrew Bargas and Richard Lopez.
Survivors include his daughter Sabrina Ramstedt of Temple; two brothers David Polanco of Arlington and Joe Arthur Ortiz of Ft. Worth; three sisters Beatrice Ortiz of Grand Prairie, Evelyn Polanco of Ft. Worth and Mary L. Drake of Venus; three grandchildren, Andrew, Haylee and Ty Ramstedt; two aunts Mary Ortiz of Temple and Amelia Valdez of Temple; four uncles Frank Ortiz, Jesse Ortiz, Joe Ortiz and Edward Ortiz, Sr.  all of Temple, many nieces and nephews including niece Christina Bargas Leza and her sons Jaydon Zayne Leza and Jerome Ponce; and nephew Michael Bargas.
