Barbara Kay Frye

Barbara Kay (Burris) Frye, 67, of Temple passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Baylor-Scott and White Medical Center in Temple.

A memorial service for Barbara will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Byron Serna officiating.

Barbara was born on January 2, 1952 to George Sr. and Ruth (Kemper) Burris. She lived several different cities growing up as her  father was in the Air Force. She graduated from South Dade High School in Homestead, Florida. Barbara started a long career in the banking industry in Florida, beginning as a teller. Barbara moved to Central Texas in 1991 and began working for First State Bank Central Texas, retiring as a manager in January of 2019 after 28 years with the company.

Survivors include her brothers George Burris, Jr. of Belton and Dwight Burris of Pendleton, and sisters Sherry Moore of Tavares, Florida and Jackie Colon of Miami, Florida.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
