August Patrick Wilganoski

Service for August Patrick Wilganoski, 71, of Belton will be 11:30 AM Monday March 9, 2020 at Dossman Funeral home. Burial will be prior to the service at 10:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.

August was born on September 2, 1948 in Marlin, Texas the son of Louis and Verna (Marshall) Wilganoski. He graduated from Paschall High School in Ft. Worth, Texas. He married Pamela Montgomery on September 24, 1971 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He served in the United States Army from April 29,1968 thru February 1,1971 and, Vietnam War Service December 1968 thru December 1969. August was very active in The First Cavalry Division Association, Vista Community Church and being a mentor to children and young people, and Neighborhood,  Mr. Fix it.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Montgomery Wilganoski; a son, Jeffery Allen Wilganoski and wife Mary Pierce; a sister, Elizabeth Mocek; twenty-three nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews and his best buddy, Mr. Willie Gray.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 8 from 4 PM to 6 PM at Dossman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vista Community Church, 7051 Stonehollow, Temple, TX  76502.
