Anne-Marie Calhoun, age 75, fought fiercely, and passed away peacefully, at the medical ICU unit of Scott & White hospital in Temple, Texas, due to COVID-19.
A memorial service for Mrs. Calhoun will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the DOssman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Rev. Mike Baggerly officiating. The service may be viewed by visiting dossmanfh.com.
Anne-Marie was born in Burlington, Vermont, to Harris & Madeline Shepard, on October 30, 1945. She married her Prince Charming, John L. Calhoun, on September 29, 2017, and they shared a beautiful love story. Anne-Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Her love of decorating was demonstrated in the adorable homes she lived in throughout her life. She loved to dance, take walks, go on adventures, and spend time with friends and family. She and her granddaughter shared a love for fashion and shoes.
Mrs. Calhoun is survived by her husband, John L. Calhoun, her daughter, Keri-Marie Strohschein, and husband, Todd, her son, Jeffrey Steven Nicholas, grandson, Jeffrey Steven Nicholas Jr., her pride and joy, granddaughter, Keesley-Marie Strohschein, granddaughters, Tiffany Schlomer and Tina Strohschein, and great grandchildren, Hayleigh, Jaelynn, and Blake Schlomer, step daughter, Nicole Calhoun, step grandson, Isaac Ogeda, and wife, Brittany, step grandsons, Malloy & IJ, and step granddaughter, Marley.
The family of Anne-Marie Calhoun would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support team of the medical ICU at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. They took amazing care of, and fought so hard to treat, Anne-Marie, while giving her comfort and love.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations made to the Scottish Rite Hospital for children.
