Andrew J. Hall, US Army (Ret)

Funeral services for Andrew J. Hall, US Army (Ret), 94, of Temple, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.   Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Troy.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM.

Mr. Hall died Thursday, January 11, 2024, in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Hall was born May 16, 1929, in Bowersville, Georgia, the son of Madison Elton Hall and Leila Emily (Sanders) Hall.   He enlisted in the United States Army in 1946 and retired as a First Sergeant in 1968.   He worked for Wilsonart as a Lab Technician and retired in 1993 after 21 years.  He was Methodist.

Mr. Hall married Betty Eakin on Friday the 13th of May 2005 in Temple.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by one grandson, Joel Clayton in 1998.

Survivors include his wife Betty Hall, one daughter Susan Clayton and husband Rick; one granddaughter, Amy Clayton Merrit and husband Mike; two great-grandsons Brendan Joel Hunt and Nathan Hunt; and one great-great-grandson, Jaxson Joel Hunt.
