Edgar Warren Mciver

July 5, 1933 — October 10, 2009

Mr. McIver was born July 5, 1933, in Somerville, the son of Edgar Warren McIver and Millie Sefcik McIver. He was a 1951 graduate of Caldwell High School. He married Bonnie Tyson January 23, 1968 in Basel, Switzerland. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1976 including the Vietnam War from 1970-1971, retiring in 1975 as Lt. Colonel. He received his BGS from the University of Nebraska in 1970 and his MBA in 1985 from Southwest Texas State University. He also worked for civil service from 1976-2002. Mr. McIver was a member of The Masonic Lodge, Warren Lodge #56, Caldwell, Texas. He was a member of the Shriner Nile Temple, Mount Lake Terrace, Washington. He was preceded in death by his son Vince Arledge and grandson Kaleb Arledge in 2001. Survivors include one son Edgar W. McIver III of College Station, two daughters Linda Scott of Temple and Ingret Van Dyk of Carlsbad, New Mexico, two sisters Mary Walker and Donna Watkins both of Wellborn ; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
