William Rogers Clawson

Mr. Clawson was born near Flat, July 26, 1931, the son of John Herschel Clawson and Wilma Grissom Clawson. He was a graduate of Flat High School. He married Wanda Williams, March 17, 1951 near Flat. Mr. Clawson retired from the Texas Department of Transportation for the Waco District in 1986, after 34 years of service, 18 of those years he was supervisor. Mr. Clawson was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he was an ordained deacon. Survivors include his wife of 58 years of marriage, Wanda Clawson of Belton, two sons Darrell Clawson and Randy Clawson both of Georgetown, one daughter Lisa Jo Farr of Converse, one sister Frances Maxine Landry of Goldthwaite. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 PM Thursday at the Dossman Funeral Home.
