Clyde Ellis Frazier

October 18, 1922 — December 1, 2009

Mr. Frazier was born October 18, 1922 in Mexia to Otto Simon and Eunice (Morgan) Frazier. He served in the US Army during World War II. He attended Eastern New Mexico University where he earned a degree in accounting. He worked in Hobbs, New Mexico as a Certified Public Accountant for many years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #63 serving as Lodge Master in Hobbs and was a 32nd degree Mason affiliated with Shriners and the Scottish Rite organizations. He married Thelma Newbill Merrell on April 10, 1950 in Portales, New Mexico. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Eugene Guy Merrell. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Newbill Merrell Frazier of Belton, 3 sons, Gerald Don Merrell of Tucson, AZ, Richard Allen Merrell of Belton and Michael Frazier of Houston, 2 brothers, Erskine Frazier of Portales, NM, Ervin Frazier of Orlando, FL, 2 sisters, Cora Mae Drennan of Hot Springs, AR and Irene McKissask of Temple, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
