David Earl Holder

June 6, 1933 — February 12, 2010

He was born June 6, 1933 to Pauline and Gilbert Holder in Waco, Texas. He married Frances Ann Bayer on January 29, 1954. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty years, and retired from the military in 1973. He worked for the Department of Public Safety in Austin and then for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Austin, Temple and Waco, and retired from Bell Telephone in 1992. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert; his mother, Pauline; his niece, Susan Booher; and his brother-in-law, Bill Jones. Survivors include Frances, his wife of 56 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Gay Holder of Hutto, Texas; a daughter, Kathy Uhrig of Belton, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kaia Holder of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a sister, Helen Jones of Riesel, Texas; and a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Joe McCartney of Williamsburg, Virginia; twelve nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren and two step- great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, Memorial Fund, 210 East 24th Avenue, Belton, Texas, 76513 or to the charity of your choice.
