Graveside services for Jo Ann Wells, age 80, of Temple will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Ellis officiating. Mrs. Wells died Wednesday at her home in Temple. She was born June 22, 1929 in Bottoms, Texas to Luther R. and Flosse E. (Jordon) Greenway. She married J. W. Wells July 19, 1946 in Temple. They lived in Belton, California, Academy and Temple. In Temple they started A-1 Furniture and the Bargain Barn Furniture in Belton and operated it for many years. She was a nurse and had worked for Southern Manor, Southland Villa and Crestview nursing homes. She was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church in Belton and also enjoyed quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, James Wells, 1 sister, Virginia Guinn and 1 brother Charles H. Greenway. Survivors include 4 sons, John Wells of Oregon, Jack Wells, Joe Wells and Jeff Wells all of Temple, 2 daughters; Janice Hamsom Combs and Jeanette Mundell both of Temple; 1 brother, Jerry Greenway of Little River; 1 sister Judith Timm of McGregor, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Scott and White Hospice in Temple. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
