Funeral services for Richard Allen "Rick" Curry, age 59, of Moody will be held Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Pat Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Moody Cemetery in Moody. Mr. Curry died Thursday at a McGregor nursing home. He was born January 14, 1951 in Clinton, Oklahoma to James Oscar and Imogene Colletta (Pascher) Curry. He grew up in Oklahoma and entered the U.S. Marine Corp in 1969 and served in Vietnam in a combined action platoon as a Sergeant with 1st Marine Division where he received 2 Purple Heart, Bronze Star with combat V, Vietnamese Gallantry Cross, Vietnam Service Medal with Combat Action Ribbon. He married Glenna Jean Turnbo August 16, 1971 in Belton. He enjoyed Team Roping and was very active in the sport. He was a driver for McLanes Southwest for over 23 years. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Glenna Jean Curry of Mooday, 2 sons, Jeff Curry and wife Nikki of Waco and Mike Curry and wife Mitzi of Moody, daughter, Missy Duckett and husband Jody of Oglesby, brother, Ronnie Curry of Oklahoma City, OK, sister Brenda Rawlings and husband Steve of Edmond, OK, 9 grandchildren; Callie Martin, Jacob Donaldson, Taylor Curry, Maddie Curry, James Curry, Dalton Duckett, Hayden Curry, Allie Duckett and Josh Curry. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
