Lee Housewright

October 11, 1922 — April 30, 2010

Edna Leodelle ("Lee") Dulaney Housewright passed into the hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 30. "For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him; if we endure, we shall also reign with Him." Lee was born October 11, 1922, in Belton to John Willie and Bessie Mae Dulaney. Preceding her in death were beloved sisters Rhoda, Bettye Jo and Francis, brothers Virgil and John, and first husband Harold ("Dude") Savage. Lee attended Mary Hardin-Baylor College in 1943 and 1944, and married John James Housewright on August 19, 1955. She worked for Bell County for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was an active member of Miller Heights Baptist Church since October 1962. Survivors include husband John James, son Steven and wife Karen, granddaughter Kimberly Sleeth and husband Michael, grandson Kendall Housewright, great-grandchildren Hannah, Aidan, Brighton and Oliver, sister Dorothy Lash, brother Jack Dulaney, and numerous nieces and nephews. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Lee lived a joyful life and reflected God's love in all she said and did. Visitation scheduled for 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at Dossman Funeral Home, Belton, with private burial on Monday. Memorial service to be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Miller Heights Baptist Church, Belton.
