Funeral services for Kirby Taylor, age 76, of Belton will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Temple Bible Church with Rev. Gary Desalvo officiating. Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery. Mr. Taylor died Tuesday in a Temple hospital. He was born August 17, 1933 in Temple to Tallie and Geraldine (Wharton) Taylor. He was a 1951 graduate of Temple High School and also graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in accounting. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Alice Jean McAden on June 8, 1956 in Gainesville. He worked for both the Belton and Temple Independent School Districts as well as the Barge, Vance and Yarborough accounting firm. He was member and Deacon at Temple Bible Church where he also was known as "Mr. Fix It" for the countless hours volunteered performing maintenance for the church. He was also an outdoorsman loving hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Alice Taylor of Belton; one son, Ronnie Taylor of College Station; one daughter, Lisa Brewer of Frisco and 5 grand daughters. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Temple Bible Church Building Fund. Visitation will be held Thursday at Dossman Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
