Kenneth Stanley Hawkins

Kenneth Stanley Hawkins, age 72, of Morgan's Point Resort died Thursday at a Temple hospital. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Moffat Cemetery. Mr. Hawkins was born July 4, 1938 in Temple to Rex Cole and Lillie Elizabeth (Ceska) Hawkins. He grew up in Temple before moving to Austin where he owned and operated Central Electric Appliance Service for 35 years. He also taught for the Wyndom School District in Gatesville for 12 years. He moved to Morgan's Point Resort in 1985. He married Patricia Janet Goates January 25, 1957 in Bell County, she preceded him in death in 2007, he was also preceded in death by one son, Kenneth James Hawkins in 1998. Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Jane Reece and husband Bobby of Morgan's Point Resort; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hawkins of Belton 3 brothers, Jerry Hawkins of Tyler, Gary Hawkins of Lorena and Ron Hawkins of Round Rock; sister, Patsy Reid of Durango; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Dossman Funeral Home.
