Thomas Jourdan Morris

Services for Thomas Jourdan "T.J." Morris, age 93 of Moody will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Dossman Funeral Home with Rev. Ridge Adams and Rev. Larry Henry officiating. Mr. Morris died Tuesday in a Temple nursing home. He was born November 10, 1916, in Willow Grove to William Jourdan and Frances Josephine (Cox) Morris. He lived in the Moody area all his life where he was active in farming and ranching. He married Helen L. Hargrove on November 6, 1937, in Willow Grove. He was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Helen L. Morris of Moody, one son, Bill Morris and wife Dodie of Austin, 2 daughters, Jenice Morris of Willow Grove and Patsy Newman of Salado, 3 grandchildren, John Newman, Chris Morris and wife Micki and Anne Sellers and husband Tyler, 2 great grandchildren, Austin Sellers and Jewell Morris. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Willow Grove Baptist Church of Moody. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Friday at Dossman Funeral Home.
