Carrietta Mcgowan

Belton--- Funeral services for Carrietta McGowan, 92 of Temple, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Watson officiating. Burial will be at 1 PM Monday, December 27, 2010 in the McGown Cemetery in Milam. Visitation will begin at noon on Sunday. Mrs. McGowan died Wednesday December 22, 2010 in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. McGowan was born March 27, 1918 in Strawn, the daughter of John M. Watson and Verna Winnegar Watson. She married Ivan Dewey McGowan August 17, 1938 in Graham. She was a beautician. She lived in McGregor before moving to the Belton area. She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Dewey McGowan, January 20, 2002. Survivors include son Ivan Dewey McGowan, Jr, of Cameron and daughter Judy Duke of Copperas Cove six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
