Mary Dean Garvin

Mrs. Mary Dean Garvin, 83, of Belton, Texas passed away on January 22, 2011 in a Temple Nursing Home. Mrs. Garvin was born on November 8, 1927 in Holland, Texas to Isaac Lee and Francis Elizabeth (Morgan) Underwood. She married Louis M. Garvin on September 10, 1971 in Temple, Texas and was a homemaker. Mrs. Garvin is survived by her husband: Louis M. Garvin of Belton, Texas, 2 sons: Louis N. Garvin and David Garvin both of Sugarland, Texas, 5 daughters: Janice Burleson of Belton, Susan Green of Chapel Hill, N.C., Patti Davis of Belton, Joan Ashburn of Chicago, Ill., and Suzie Rice of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Garvin is preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother, and 1 daughter. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Dossman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 26,2011, at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Callaway and Rev. Gary Dyer officiating, Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery in Belton, Texas. Memorials may be made to the building fund of Anchor Hope Baptist Church in Belton or to VistaCare Hospice.
