Willie B. Smith

Willie Bryan Thomas Smith, precious wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8, at 10:00 AM at Ocker Brethren Church in Zabcikville, Tx. with Rev. Ron Winsman and Rev. Ryan Kiblinger officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Dossman Funeral Home, 2525 North Main, Belton, Texas. Willie B. was born in Windy Valley, Texas October 15, 1924 to William Jennings Bryan Thomas and Gracie Lee Barnes Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ledford Smith, two sisters, Flora Ennis of Pensacola, Florida, and Lavina Nell Nason, of Electra, Texas, and a granddaughter, Emily Claire Coffman of College Station, Texas. Willie B. is survived by daughters, Bryana Childers and husband Roy of College Station, Gayla Herschler and husband Richard of Temple, and Cathy Gampper and husband Mike of OFallon, Illinois; grandchildren R.D. Childers and wife Laurie, of Austin, Julie Doss and husband Larry of Lubbock, Lucia Rossman and husband Michael of Landstuhl, Germany, Michael Childers and wife Mirranda, of Gainesville, Florida, David Childers and wife Catherine of College Station, Loren Hamson and husband Karl of Temple, Michael Bryan Gampper and wife Emily of Russellville, Tennessee, Leah Alvarez and husband Gabriel of Belton, Joshua Childers of College Station, Matthew Gampper of OFallon, Illinois; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Numerous extended family members and friends will also treasure her memory. She will be remembered for her love of the Lord, kindness, quick wit, and never ending words of wisdom.
