Paul Douglas Westerfield Paul Westerfield, 58, a custom homebuilder, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011, at a Temple hospital following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Killeen at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13. The Rev. Randy Wallace will conduct the service. Paul was born on January 30, 1953, in Liberty, Texas, to Joe M. and Ann Irene Westerfield. The family moved to Killeen in 1960, where he attended school, graduating from Killeen High School in 1971. He also attended Texas Tech University. Paul built custom homes in Killeen, Harker Heights, and Salado. He was an avid tennis fan, both as a participant and as a spectator, and was an enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Joe M. Westerfield. He is survived by Kathy Westerfield, his wife of 32 years; daughter Shelley of Fort Worth; mother Ann Irene Westerfield of Killeen; brother Gregg Westerfield and his wife, Jane, of Lampasas; Jon Westy Westerfield of Killeen; nephews Jonathan and Joey Westerfield of Austin; mother-in-law, Jean Eldridge of Killeen; and friends too numerous to count. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is handling the arrangements.
