Harold Emmett Royal

Memorial services for Harold "Hud" Royal, age 79, of Morgan's Point Resort will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating. Mr. Royal died Thursday at his home. He was born August 17, 1931 in Greenville, Pennsylvania to Walter Theodore and Margaret (Everall) Royal. He joined the U. S. Army at the age of 17 and spent over 20 years in service to his country. He married Marcella Dickison on December 31, 1964 in Killeen. After retirement from the military he worked at the Officer's Club at Ft. Hood for 3 years then worked for Mobil Chemical Plastics for 18 years. He also worked at the Morgan's Point Resort Marina for a number of years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and sports fan including NASCAR. He was a member of the Harker Heights VFW, Morgan's Point Resort P.O.S.T. organization as well as the NRA. Mr. Royal was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald Royal and John Royal. Survivors include his wife, Marcella Royal of Morgan's Point Resort, 2 sons, Steven Royal and wife Tamara of Salado and Vance Royal and wife Dandy of Temple, a sister, Joann Wilson of Greenville, PA., and 3 grandchildren, Steffany Austin Royal, Riley Royal and Nettie Emma Royal.
