Opal Hogue

Belton--- Mrs. Opal Oliver Hogue, 91, of Temple, died Monday April 18, 2011 at her home in Temple. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening, April 19, 2011 at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Funeral Services in West Virginia are pending. Mrs. Hogue was born May 7, 1919 in East Prairie, Missouri, the daughter of William E. Oliver and Mable Carter Oliver. She married Thomas Everett Hogue June 8, 1937 in East Prairie, Missouri. She enjoyed being a secretary and pastor's wife for 70 years. She lived in West Virginia from 1975 till 2008 when she moved to Texas. She was a member of Texas Christ Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008, one son Ronald Gene Hogue in 1992 and one granddaughter Anne Hogue England in 2004 and sister Lorraine Porter. Survivors include three sons Oliver C. Hogue of Temple, Terry Lee Hogue and Gavin Neal Hogue both of Scott Depot West Virginia. Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Scott and White Hospice. Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of local arrangements and Chapman Funeral Home in Hurricane, is in charge of arrangements in West Virginia.
