BeltonFuneral services for Mrs. Velma Jimmie Ming, 96, of Belton, will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 , at 10 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Joe Baisden officiating. Burial will follow at the Salado Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Ming died Monday, April 18, 2011 in a Belton Nursing Home. Mrs. Ming was born December 7, 1914 in Bell County, the daughter of Early and Della Mae (Smith) Melvin. She married Barton Ming, May 3, 1932 in Belton. She was a member of the Brunch Bunch and the Belton Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and one daughter Patricia Camp in 1992. Survivors include two sons E. C. Ming of Belton and Barton Dale Ming of Belton; four daughters Martha Mae Wood of Waco, Carole Carpenter of Belton, Kathryn Douglas of Temple and Nell Davis of Belton. 22 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
