Lucille Davis-Roberts

Services for Lucille Davis-Roberts, age 91, of Gatesville will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Gary Baxley officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 PM at North Town Cemetery in Bridgeport, Texas. Mrs. Roberts died Wednesday at her home. She was born September 15, 1919 in Abilene, Texas to Earl M. and Lena Pearl (Ramey) Farquhar. She grew up in Abilene and married Harvey Davis on April 13, 1938 in Baird. Following his death she married John A. Roberts on April 9, 1983 in Whitesboro. He also preceded her in death. She worked for the Masonic Hospital in Arlington as well as the State School in Abilene. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, 1 son and a granddaughter. Suvivors include a son, Robert Davis of Burkburnett, 4 daughters, Jessie Baxter of Gatesville, Evelyn Hagerud of Evant, Lena Lawson of Konawa, OK and Donna Minney of Ft. Worth, step-son, John Lynn Roberts of Coleman, 2 step daughters, Patricia Ditmore of Abilene and Debbie Fortner of Lometa, sister, Jane Bowman of Abilene, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Dossman Funeral Home.
