Betty A Ward

Services for Betty Audene Ward, age 72, of Belton will be Friday at 10:00 AM at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bell Plains Cemetery. Mrs. Ward died Tuesday July 12, 2011 in a Belton nursing home. She was born in Belton on October 19, 1938 to Robert Asbury and Vera Florene (Watts) Johnson. She worked at Miller Heights Grocery for Opal Dulaney for several years. Then she was employed as a cashier at H.E.B. in Belton, retiring after 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, brother, Armon Dyer Johnson in 1983 and her youngest daughter Brenda Jo Bilbrey, October 12, 2000. Survivors include 2 sons, Danny Johnson of Austin and Frankie Lee Ward of Gatesville, daughter, Carol Ward of Temple, 2 brothers, J. W. Johnson of Belton and Bobby Joe Johnson of Waco, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
