Sandra Alison Sheard

Belton---Funeral services for Sandra "Sandy" Alison Sheard, 55, of Salado, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Harbour officiating. Burial will follow at the Salado Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home. Mrs. Sheard died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at her home in Salado. She was born on May 3, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Tripler Army Hospital, the daughter of William and Doris Jones. She graduated from Odem High School and joined the Army in 1974. She married Phillip Sheard January 3, 1987, in Belton. She worked for the Bell County Tax Appraisal District and Bell County Adult Probation Office. She retired after 19 years of service. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Phillip Sheard of Salado, two sons Jeremy Sheard and wife Robin of Round Rock and Chad Sheard of Temple. Two step-sons Michael Sheard and wife Jakki of Troy and Phillip A. Sheard and wife Ren of Waco. Her father William "Bill" F. Jones and step mother Margaret Irene Jones of Belton. One brother Murray Jones of Long Beach, California and four step brothers Gary Morrison, Gerald Morrison and Wayne Morrison all of San Antonio and Gene Morrison of Kingwood and 10 grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
